Bowling for a Cause

Yesterday, our team of Andrew Brooke, Kristen Harris, Trina Far, and Josh Moonoosamy took part in the 9th Annual Donaldson Brown Lawn Bowls Day at Mount Eden Bowls Club.

We were proud to sponsor one of the auction items on the day, with all proceeds going to the Child Cancer Foundation.

The event combined friendly competition with a few unique twists. A strict all-white dress code was enforced, and roaming volunteers issued on-the-spot fines via eftpos for any rule breaches. Josh was quick to contribute after arriving in tan pants, but team spirits remained high throughout. Andrew later secured immunity from further fines with a generous $250 donation, keeping things firmly in good humour.

Thanks to the collective efforts of everyone involved, the event raised an impressive $95,000 in support of the foundation’s work. It was a fantastic day of connection, competition, and community, all in support of a truly worthwhile cause.
