Contract Works Knowledge in Action
Last week, we brought together more than 20 team members from across New Zealand for our two-day Contract Works Conference in Auckland. The conference provided an opportunity to deepen technical expertise, share knowledge, and strengthen our collective approach to managing complex Contract Works claims across our national network.
The programme featured presentations from our Technical Lead, Danie Keyser, alongside Richard Murphy, Keegan Harpur, and Tony Phillips from Halliwell. Sessions explored a range of topics, including how Contract Works policies operate in New Zealand, the various parties involved in claims, the role of pricing in the adjusting process, and effective report writing and presentation.
Contract Works claims can be complex, involving multiple stakeholders, technical issues, and significant project values. Bringing our specialists together provides an opportunity to share experiences, discuss emerging trends, and further develop the technical expertise required to manage these claims effectively.

The conference also reinforced the strength of our national network. With specialists located throughout New Zealand, regular collaboration and knowledge sharing help ensure clients receive the same high standard of technical expertise and service, regardless of where a claim occurs.
The two days provided valuable learning opportunities for attendees and highlighted McLarens' ongoing commitment to developing technical capability within the Contract Works space.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the conference and shared their expertise throughout the event.
