Racing Around in Support

We recently sponsored and attended the Gerrards Insurance Brokers Great Insurer Go Kart Event in Christchurch, joining clients, brokers, and industry partners for an afternoon of racing, networking, and friendly competition.

Representing McLarens on the day were Claire Fraser, Dale Blyde, Greg Mackie, Keegan Harpur, Melissa Higgins, Michael Clarke, Scott Shaw, Steve Smith, Trina Far, and Trudy McClelland, all ready to put their driving skills to the test.

While McLaren may be known for Formula 1 success, it turns out the extra "s" in McLarens makes quite a difference. Out of 10 teams, we finished in 10th place. Not exactly a podium finish, but we're choosing to focus on the valuable lessons learned and the clear opportunity for improvement next year.

Fortunately, the event was about much more than lap times. It was a fantastic afternoon filled with great conversations, plenty of laughs, and the opportunity to catch up with clients and industry colleagues from across the region.

As event sponsors, we were also pleased to contribute to the prizes on the day and support another successful industry event. These occasions provide a great opportunity for people across the insurance sector to connect, strengthen relationships, and enjoy some friendly competition outside the office.

Thank you to Gerrards Insurance Brokers for organising a fantastic event and to everyone who took part. We had a great time supporting the day and look forward to returning next year with a slightly more ambitious goal than simply making it around the track.
