Hitting the Fairways

There’s nothing better than connecting with industry colleagues over a round of golf, and September saw McLarens out on the greens across the country.

On 5th September, Mark Tilley represented McLarens at the annual Insurance Institute Gisborne Golf Tournament, hosted by local brokers Emerre & Hathaway at Poverty Bay Golf Club. The event had a charitable focus, with player sign-ups raising funds for this year’s chosen charity, Habitat Gisborne.

McLarens contributed with a bottle of spirits as a prize and various merchandise for spot prize giveaways. While the winner of the Insurance Institute Cup came in with 36 stableford points, Mark was so close with a great 32. With beautiful Gisborne weather, it was a fantastic day enjoyed by all.

Later in the month, on 26th September, our team was proud to be the Gold Event Sponsor at the sold-out YIPs Christchurch Golf Tournament, held at Templeton Golf Course.

With perfect Christchurch weather and 100 players enjoying Ambrose-style golf, it was a great opportunity to catch up with industry peers. Richard Wooding, Holly Costley, Michael Clarke, Tarah Burt, Scott Shaw, Vickie Atkinson and Lisa Churchill joined the fun, making sure the McLarens presence was felt both on and off the course.

Players also left with a little piece of McLarens, with merchandise giveaways keeping the spirit of the day going long after the final putt.
